Eliminating personal ego is one of the most difficult things I have had to face.
Our ego is our lower nature. Lower nature being our animal nature and our animalistic tendencies to be selfish or impulsive etc.
I also think that it is extremely interesting to analyze our own subconsicous, this is one fo the msot difficult things we can do to understand ourselves. I believe that our subconscious is affected by our rational thoughts as well as being a part of our lower nature. If we constantly have thoughts opposing our lower nature, our subconscious will vary accordingly. Therefore it is possible to change our character through changing our thoughts. Most of the time though, when we want to change something, we change it only at the superficial level and not at a deeper level. A deeper level is to change it according to our principles and values because these are long term benefits. For example, when I say I will eat carrots, I am thinking about a deeper purpose, the purpose of being healthy.
One thing which I find fascinating is to watch people how they do things, what they say. There are a plethora of windows into the subconsicous. Actions, Emotions, Beliefs, etc. But one I find the easiest, or the most worthwhile is to analyze language, why people say certain things, or add certain words into sentences. And hwo this shapes what they are thinking and what kind of beliefs they have. By looking at myself I have found out certaint higns about myself. In this way, if we are owndering about something and want to understand oursleves better it is best to look at our art and what we create. For example if we are feeling happy, sometimes it is best to sing about it and see why we are feeling so. This is because art is spiritual.
Your arguments are not strong because you have a weak and messy structure, you don't back up your points well enough, and you don't have counterclaims. But I'm not here to judge that since this is a free&easy blog and not a formal essay.
ReplyDeleteAnyways...ignore my overthinking brain. Back to topic: language can help to judge people's subconsciousness but it's not always accurate because many factors unrelated to the subconsciousness that affects it. One example: many people are multilingual so sometimes words come out wrongly not because subconsciously they are of a certain nature, but because they think in a different language.
It's late and I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed. Discussion tomorrow.

Yes you are right, but do you understand what I am trying to say..
DeleteHopefully once we learn more about it and sicence progresses we will be able to eliminate things that are unrelated. Or perhaps even unrelated things are a part of the subconscious itself
Yeah I can understand what you're saying but sometimes it's hard to get a collective understanding of the post because you have so many points and they are kind of all over the place. But that's fine because it's only a blog.
ReplyDelete------'Hopefully once we learn more about it and sicence progresses we will be able to eliminate things that are unrelated. Or perhaps even unrelated things are a part of the subconscious itself'-----
What? Now, I don't understand what you're saying because your expression of 'it' is unclear.
